Val's Backpacker Hostel

Val's is located in Dangriga, one of the Southern District in Belize. This town is the culture capital of Belize, where the Garifuna people live. Dangriga is 105 miles from Belize City. The Phillip Goldson International Airport is only 20 minutes away if you travel to Dangriga by our local airways, Maya or Tropic Air

Val's Hostel has 24 bunkbeds. We have 2 dorms; 1 dorm for 8 people, the other for 16 people. Each dorm comes with lockers for each beds, so we have 24 lockers. The Hostel is located in front of the Caribbean sea so most times it is breezy and fresh. We also have a big veranda where you can relax and look directly into the horizon either at night or day. With clean surroundings Val's always has a homely atmosphere.


If you choose to relax, we have some comfortable couches and television that you can enjoy with a cold fruit juice, Coke, ice cream, muffins, cookies or pizza. We also have toast bread with peanut butter and jelly with coffee, cereal, and fruits for breakfast.

We can assist you in organizing what and where you would like to go and see; from in town to the cayes, caves, etc. We can visit the Jaguar Preserve (to experience the wildlife) and the beautiful caves where you can snorkle.

Telephone service is very reliable, so communication will be no problem.

Directions

If you arrive by plane: you can take a local flight to Dangriga, either (Maya or Tropic Airways) direct to Dangriga. Then at the airstrip, take a taxi to Val's. All taxi drivers know where we are.

If by bus: Our bus services are National Transport and James Bus Lines. Both of them travel to Southern Belize where we are located. They travel from Belize City every hour to Belmopan then to Dangriga. From the Bus terminal in Dangriga, you can either walk to Val's or take a taxi straight on the main road (Havana Street and St. Vincent Street) and then turn towards the sea.
