Active Adventure

We offer everything from half-day trips to multi-day adventures, all of which focus on Leave-No-Trace and environmentally friendly practices and are educationally based. We are based in Seward, Alaska and so all of our trips run in Resurrection Bay or Kenai Fjords National Park. Our guides are extensively trained and very knowledgeable about the history, wildlife, plants, etc of the area. Not only will you get out and experience the true Alaska, you will also go home with a much better understanding of the area you visited. We are a small shop, specializing in personalized sea kayaking trips. We will take out groups as small as two people, and love to cater to families with children. No experience is necessary to take part in our trips - we will walk you through all the basics before you even leave the beach! We also run a lodge, separate from the kayaking, which is a cozy log home just north of town. It's called Bear Paw Lodge, and we live there as well as rent out 4 rooms. The lodge is welcoming, clean, and comfortable - with multiple common areas, a full kitchen to use, high speed internet, a grill and hot tub on the deck, and more! It's rated number one on Trip Advisor for specialty lodging in Seward. If you do choose to stay at the lodge AND kayak, we offer a 10% discount on the lodging.

Age range, type of group

We offer trips that will be suitable for nearly any age - from 6 years old to 80 years old! We offer special "custom family trips" for groups with young children. This is a great way to have a personalized trip and ensure a good experience for everyone!

Sleeping and meals

Accommodations will vary depending on the trip you choose. We offer multi-day trips that stay on a sailboat, stay in cabins, or camp. Completely up to you!
