Play a game of golf at the Mount Ayr Golf and Country Club (semi-private), buy homemade jellies and quilts at the Amish Shops in Redding, join us in the Spring to view Prairie Chickens, visit the haunted Tedrow Cemetery, featured in "The Iowa Road Guide to Haunted Locations" and we always welcome Hunters!

Join us at Charlie-Janes, decorated with antiques, oak woodwork and family treasures and wireless internet. Description of Rooms/Suites

The "Rhoades Suite" is the prefect room decorated with colors of sage, buttercup and burgundy to highlight the antique mahogany furniture. It features queen size bed, sitting area, TV w DVD, VHS, AC and private bath. "Cozy Murphy's Grove" Room has soft papered walls with a queen size bed and curtains in blue and burgundy plaid. Our guests say this is their favorite room! It also has a desk, comfortable rocker and reading lamp. Our guests frequently even ask the make of the bed! "Princess Hideway" Room is every girl's dream. It features a lovely full canopy bed in comforting shades of peach and blue, with fluffy curtains. It has a sitting area and reading lamp also. All rooms have AC and TV

Amenities

A delicious breakfast is served at the time you request! Choose from pancakes, waffles, french toast with eggs, bacon or sausage. Served with fruit, muffin, juice and coffee or tea. There is a coffee/tea bar with microwave in the upstairs hall. All rooms have coffee pot, alarm clock, TV, bathrooms, soap and shampoo. A baby grand piano is downstairs, tuned and waiting for you to play.Something is always blooming in the red, white and blue flower garden, or the cutting garden or the butterfly garden and the swing in the pergola is always beckoning!

We are located at the junction of Hwy 2 and 169, 21 miles west off I-35 South. Our house is three blocks from our town square. We are also 95 miles southwest of Des Moines, 50 miles south of Winterset, 23 miles west of Lamoni, 150 miles southeast of Omaha, 17 miles from Missouri line and 150 miles north of Kansas City, MO.
