Wild Blue Yonder offers the most exciting and most diverse set of river trips in Alberta. Thrilling white water rafting or gentle scenic floats– there's a rafting trip for everyone. The Sulphur River offers class 2-3 half day trips. The Smoky River offers 3 hour class 1-2 family floats, and a great family overnight trip (2 or 3 days). Sheep Creek offers a half day of extreme rafting for adults only! The Kakwa River offers an advanced overnight rafting trip.

Typical Day

You will meet us at our booking counter in the small town of Grande Cache, in the northern Rocky Mountains of Alberta. We provide shuttle service to our Rafting House, with indoor heated change rooms and top quailty gear. Once you are safely and comfortably geared up, we shuttle you to the river! For day trips, shuttle times are between 5 to 20 minutes. Trips are 3, 4, 6 and hours long depending on which you choose. Overnight trips are an hour of shuttle time. At the end of your trip we bring you back to get changed, and return you to our counter, full of smiles!!

Age range, type of group

Each river has an age and group size range: the Smoky River Float is ages 4 and up, groups of 4 to 55. The Sulphur River is ages 8 and up, groups of 2 to 40. Sheep Creek is ages 18 and up, groups of 2 to 20. The Smoky Overnight Trips is ages 8 and up, groups of 4 to 20. The Kakwa Overnight Trips is ages 16 and up, groups of 4 to 20.

Sleeping and meals

Full day trips include a lunch. Overnight trips include all meals, and camping on the beach. Packages can include cabins or hotel accommodation.
