ECO-OBSERVATION FUNDAMENTALS 1This is a 8 hour hiking course that allows you to observe nature in some of the most beautiful Wildlife Conservation areas in Florida. This course is designed to enhance your ability to observe and experience wildlife and also teaches you different techniques for attuning oneself with nature. This course is more advanced than the first course. It is necessary for you to take the first course before you sign up for this one because it builds on the teachings of the first class. This course also enhances your ability to observe and experience wildlife and also teaches you more advanced techniques for attuning oneself with nature. Typical Day

Students of this course will increase their knowledge of Florida’s natural systems, of the plants and animals that depend upon those systems, and of the role of humankind in shaping our past, of determining our future, and as stewards of the land. The objective of this Program is to prepare persons to share their knowledge of wildlife observation with others, to act in a positive manner to clean up our environment, to help others feel a greater connection to the land and to help others to develop their own personal ethic wildlife conservation. We do not attempt to create experts in botany, herpetology, or any other discipline. Rather, we hope to initiate what is for many a life-long process of learning, of observation, and of sharing wildlife with others. There will be moderate hiking/canoeing and other interactive opportunities and volunteer work for those that are interested in becoming staff of T&T ESSENCE OF LIVING.

Age range, type of group

You must be 18 years of age to attend these courses, unless you are accompanied by your parents. There are no children under the age 8 allowed on the course trips.

Sleeping and meals

We do not offer sleeping accommodations for day courses. For our 3-5 day camp courses we offer primitive camp sites. but you bring your own tents and equipment. Meals and drinks are given out for those people that pay for the meal and drink service. If meal service is not paid for in advance then you will have to bring your own food and drink.

Restrictions

There are no pets allowed on course trips.The use of illegal/illicit drugs or alcohol is not permitted and will result in your immediate removal from course without refund.You may bring cameras but video taping not permitted.

Other Information

T&T ESSENCE OF LIVING’sCancellation/Registration Policy1. Deposits for all courses shall be $75.002. You will not be considered registered until the office sends you a confirmation.3. Balance is due on the first day of class4. If you cancel less than two weeks prior to class, you will be charged a $25.00 administration fee. The balance of the monies received shall be carried over as a course credit.5. If you do not arrive at course and you have not cancelled, you will lose all monies received for the course.6. In the unlikely event that T&T Essence Of Living cancels or changes course dates, you will be given a full refund. T&T Essence Of Living will not be liable for any other costs due to cancellations or date changes. Have your balance in on time. If you have not paid your balance at least one week prior to class, we will assume that you have canceled and your deposit will be forfeited.Course rules1. You must be 18 years of age to attend courses.2. T&T Essence Of Living is not responsible for lost or forgotten items.3. T&T Essence Of Living cannot accept student mail or phone calls (except for emergencies)4. Use of video recorders is not permitted.5. Pets are not permitted during classes6. Use of illegal/illicit drugs or alcohol is not permitted and will result in your immediate removal from class without a refund.7. There are no accommodations available before or after courses.8. T&T Essence Of Living is not responsible for your time between courses run back-to-back.9. Fraternization is discouraged between students. If you feel a fellow student is acting inappropriately towards you please notify an instructor.If an instructor asks you to curb your behavior and you choose not to, you will be removed from course without a refund.
