Other Information

We have Mauricio and Mingo, two very tame cats that live accross the cottages at our place and they like to visit the cottages as my guests usually feed them. So if you are allergic to cats, or do not like cats, or animals in general, I would suggest another place.

Directions

You need to take Corredor Norte. Signs of Corredor Norte, are everywhere. If you prefer to reach Panama City first, it is still better and easier. You may also hire for only $6.00 a taxi in Panama City to drive in front of you to take you to the deviation, at Corredor Norte, that reads Arraijan / Puente Centenario. At this point you will be on the main Internamerican highway and the rest is very easy.
Once you have taken the toll that reads ARRAIJAN / PUENTE CENTENARIO everything is easy. You then will be on the INTERAMERICAN HIGHWAY. Never , ever take any turn from here on, but just continue on this main road.
This deviation toward Altos del Maria is more or less on Km. 70 away from Panama City. You won't see the exact KM sign, but more or less 10 km. before this right hand deviation you will see many signs of Altos del Maria indicating you how many more meters (600 MTS., 300MTS.) you need to drive.
A sign reading PIO PIO and a huge arch is the advice for you to turn to your right hand up the mountain. From here just fullow the signs that read ALTOS DEL MARIA. It is exactly 19 KM until you will reach the first main gate to enter Altos del Maria at your right hand. It can not be seen easily from the road until you reach it. But immediately before the gate you will see at your left hand the Sales House of ALTOS DEL MARIA. 100 meters or a little more after this Sales Office you will see at your left the gate to Altos del María.

When you reach Altos del María's gate just inform the guard that you are visiting the cabins of Señora Frauke. From here on follow the yellow line until you reach the sign accompanied by its statue that reads El Encanto (right hand of road), after this sign, there is one road to your left called Calle de las Princesas, do not take this, but take the next one that reads Calle del Manantial also to your left. 200 meters further on this road CALLE EL MANANTIAL you will see my two cottages at your right hand. I will be across the street waiting for you.
