THE HISTORY
CHARLOTTE ANNE is a traditional Baltic Schooner of around 37 tons, built entirely of Swedish Oak in the year 1949. For the first 40 years of her life, she worked as a Survey and Support vessel for the Royal Danish Survey based in Greenland and adjacent islands.
In 1988 she was laid up. Following an extensive refit in which the entire interior was refashioned as a comfortable cruise vessel, the owners sailed her from northern Europe to the Indian Ocean, finally set its voyages in the crystal clear water of the tropical destination renowned as the paradise on earth, the Maldives.

THE BOAT
Apart from the crew’s quarters, the accommodation now comprises four guest cabins, all of which have en-suite facilities. The boat features a saloon to service the guests, a bar on deck also serving as the dining room. The cabin layout consists of two doubles, one triple and one quadruple, a total of eleven guest berths.
The main engine, a Burmeister and Wain marine diesel, provides a speed of around Eight knots whilst generators supply ample electric power for all needs including the anchor windlass, dive compressor and ship’s air-conditioning.
