Activity/Tour
We view grizzly bears, eagles, porpoises, sea birds in an isolated coastal estuary.
Typical Day
Departure is at 7am. We run 2 hours by covered boat up into Knight Inlet. Along the way we often see black bears feeding on low tide beaches, bald eagles, dolphins and porpoises. Once in the grizzly bear hot spot, we load into a flat bottom skiff to better access the low tide mud flats and river mouth. We quietly motor around, depending on where the bears come out. Grizzly bears feed on sedge during the summer, salmon in the fall. They wrestle, swim, eat, chase fish right in front of the boat. Lunch is provided back in the big boat. We return to Telegraph Cove about 4pm.
