Boston's best location, an easy walk to most everything. 3 large rooms with private baths in my non-smoking home, an elegant 1869 townhouse in historically preserved residential neighborhood of gaslights, brick sidewalks, antique shops, restaurants

My bed and breakfast occupies two floors of the townhouse where I live. Two rooms with baths occupy the entire second floor.. The building has an elevator for luggage. I serve a full breakfast in my elegant dining room overlooking the Charles River. It has a chandelier from a French chateau, a carved walnut round dining table from Normandy which is about the same age as the house(1870), an Oriental rug and other eclectic antique furnishings.

Description of Rooms/Suites

Each room is very large (over 350sq') plus ensuite modern bath. I have left intact all of the period details, moldings, fireplaces, panelled doors, and furnished each with an eye to the comfort of my guests as well as their esthetic pleasure. One room has a queen bed, the other a double. In addition, each has a double or queen sofa-bed.

This is a private home in the center of Boston, an easy walk to anything and everything, the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, shops, restaurants, subway to Harvard and the Museum of Fine Arts, Gardner Museum. I am here to provide you with information to find whatever you might be seeking.

Restrictions

Chloe, a loving and docile white standard poodle, and Trushka, a 12 lb Coton de Tulear, share my home with me. Please enjoy her and leave your own pets at home! This is a NON-SMOKING home in its entirety. To come into the house one must go up about ten outside steps. Within the house a long but gentle staircase goes up to the second floor, but I am in no way handicapped accessible.

Rates & Availability

$250/night,no 13% hotel tax, full breakfast included. One night stays only at the last minute. Winter rate(Jan, Feb, Mar)$225/night. 10%discount-stays of one week or more. 3-4day minimum some holiday week-ends. One night non-refundable deposit required by personal check, or travelers' checks. Credit cards not accepted.

To reach my home from:I-90 East(MassPike):Exit 18,follow signs to Cambridge. At foot of exit mp turn right onto Storrow Drive toward Downtown Boston. When road goes through a tunnel (2+mi) take next exit, labelled Gov't Center, Kendall Sq., Cambridge. Turn right at light onto Charles St, then 2nd right onto Pinckney St, 1st left onto Brimmer St. #27 is 2/3of the way down the first block on the right. Park for a moment at the fire hydrant across the street. I'm opposite the church.From I-93North or South: Take Storrow Drive exit, then first exit which is on left, afterled Gov't Center, Kendall Sq., Cambridge. From I-93N or S, take Storrow Drive exit, then follow above instructions, going straight onto Charles St.
