Directions
Marenco is located in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula. The lodge can only be reached by boat or hiking in. There are only two aquatic gateway points by boat; Agujitas Beach located in Drakes Bay; and the village of Sierpe located on the Sierpe River. Access by Agujitas Beach is a boat ride of only 10 minutes to get to the lodge along the coastline. Access by the Sierpe River involves a much longer 1 hour and 45 minute boat ride down the Sierpe River and along the Pacific Ocean coastline. We strongly reccomend entering by Agujitas Beach basically because more time can be spent at the lodge, particularly if you decide to fly or rent a car, as opposed to entering by Sierpe, which requires much more time in a boat and less flexible schedules. There are many options for getting to these two aquatic gateways suited for everyone's taste and budget.
