Alton Bay, Lake Winnipesaukee (15 minutes)Marina, restaurants, Dairy Queen, movie theater, miniature golf, live band dancing, stores, laundry. Mt. Washington cruise boat - 4 hour scenic cruises. Scenic train rides along the shore. Weirs Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee (larger recreational area - 45 minutes). Many other recreational activities, tours, scenic sights, antique shope, etc.

Seasonal Rental. Half Moon Lake, Barnstead, NH. Rustic waterfront cottage. Half Moon Lake is located near Route 28, about 20 miles northeast of Concord and seven miles south of Alton Bay, the southern tip of Lake Winnipesaukee. It is about 90 miles from Boston. This private lake is about two miles long and one mile wide. Good fishing for bass, pickerel and white perch. There are no public beaches. The cottage is 40 feet from shore on a private wooded lot located near the middle of the lake. One of the best views of the scenery amd lake activities. Enjoy the sunrise and spectacular sunsets. The cottage faces north so there's sun on the beach all day, but trees around the cottage provide shade for those who prefer limited sun exposure. There is a private sandy beach with a sturdy dock for diving and fishing. The cottage sleeps six. No pets. No smoking. No tents allowed. The interior consists of a large open living-dining-kitchen area, bedroom and bath. We retained a rustic charm with birch wall paneling and open ceilings, so you see the roof rafters. French doors open onto an enclosed porch. There is a queen size bed in bedroom, a twin bed and studio couch in day room (bedroom), and a full size bed and a studio couch on the front porch. There is a round oak table in the dining area. Kitchen cabinets are knotty cherry wood. An island counter separates the kitchen from the dining area. Shower in bath. There is a wood stove for heat if needed. The large screened porch (30' x 8') faces the lake, has sliding windows to enclose the porch at night or when it rains. There is a 8' formica table for dinning and enjoying the beautiful views of scenery and lake activities. At night the porch can become another bedroom - kids love to sleep there! Gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, formica counters, all small appliances (including a pop corn popper!), utensils, dishes, condiments and a AM/FM/CD/cassette radio. No TV. Bring linens, towels, food and drink - and suntan lotion. We provide a gas grill, 2 lawn chairs, 2 chaise lounges and a swing for small children. Bring your own favorite lawn chairs, etc.
